On the 15th of September (A mere 3 days after the end of the second half my exams, thank you Swiss Department of Education for giving me such a long break!), I shall be starting Geneva University where I shall be studying economics.

However, if all goes well in my exams, which I am sitting at this very moment, I shall be applying to the University of Cambridge to study the rather excitingly-sounding Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic for entrance in 2009, so I have my fingers crossed for that, as well as other universities in the United Kingdom such as Durham, St Andrew's, Bristol and UCL, in case I do really get sick of Switzerland and want a change. However, as going to study in England would mean me losing a year, it's a rather difficult choice to make (other than Cambridge, of course).

I *have* heard of it. Mike Carleson who presents the NFL on Channel5 in the UK went there in the 60's, where he played on the Lacrosse team with current New England Patriots head coach Bill Bellicheck.

    There. Now, where's my cookie?

There's a Wesleyan Uni on the N side of Indianapolis that we've known about for ages, mom almost went to work there. Is it affiliated?

Nope. There are about 100 different universities with Wesleyan in their name, none of them have anything to do with the one I went to. Such as Ohio Wesleyan, which is the one which I think Martok is talking about here:

There is so much confusion over the name of the school that we actually have a popular shirt there with the school logo, which says on the back: NOT Ohio Wesleyan, NOT ....., etc. for about 20 lines, and then it says at the bottom "And no, we're not a women's college outside of Boston" because people get us mixed up with Wellesley all the time as well.

My Wesleyan is in Middletown, CT about 30 minutes south of Hartford. It's your typical New England liberal arts college that no one has ever heard of.

Nope, it's not that one. The only school I looked at in Ohio was Oberlin (which I actually did apply to and was accepted).

I'm actually pretty sure that's the one, TinCow. The only other Eastern school I seriously considered applying to was in New Jersey (although bugger all if I can remember its name offhand ); the other was Wesleyan. So unless there's a Wesleyan college/university in New Jersey -- and maybe there is, for all I know -- I'm reasonably certain your school is the one I'm thinking of.

Ah, that was my error. I read your previous post as saying that the Wesleyan you looked at was in the midwest, rather than that you were from the midwest. Yeah, we're probably talking about the same place. The town it's in sucks, the women are 'homely' to put it nicely, and it's unbelievably expensive, but it does provide a pretty decent education.
