    Default Transgression

Here's a question. I am currently playing as England, early on in the campaign while I'm still trying to take out all of the near by rebel settlements France has got a 3 unit army parked outside Caen, it's seriously hampering my troop movements, as they are in my region it's counts as Transgression but what can do to make them go away without initating war? My diplomats can't go to Paris and ask the French army to get off my land. Normally if the player is the offender than they'll get the 'relation worsened' message. The question is; What can you to make a netural army to leave your region without initiating war?

Off the top of my head?

    1) Assassinate the general of that army.

    2) Bribe the army.

    3) Move one of your own armies into one of their provinces, or park it basically right in front of that army on your own lands...sit back and wave @ the enemy and see if they'll attack.

However, what confuses me here is how you're not at war with them. If they've been on your land for multiple turns...how are you not at war?

    1) Doesn't work, especially since they don't have a general (captain).

    2) That would work, but I was hoping for a diplomatic triumph instead of paying a dime to any of them

    3) That is acceptable, but I'm trying to avoid war with them even if they attack me first.

I didn't only have this problem with England. I had this thing plenty of times with other factions beforehand, just didn't think it enough to post it here. It does seems very strange though.

Afaik if its parked there, your relations don't suffer. It suffers only each time you cross borders.

I trick I use is to just park an army in their red zone, normally they get the hint (or seem to) and move on.

The Relation Worsened message only appears when the player transgresses into other factions' regions, when the AI does it nothing happens, the player does get upset though.
