That helps cutting down on games overall, for me anyway. Outside of that, just go to the college library. There you can't really game, though you can still surf the web for extended amounts of time (which is what I'm doing right now). Still, it feels better and is better for your wrist.
Getting a job of course would help too.

I prefer the biblical solution:
Leviticus 12:36
This should cure you good."If your right wrist causes you

gouge them out."
Edit: Has anyone else noticed how many people that have arcade champion titles posted in this thread?

Good advice there Yoyoma.
I just got my arcade badge a few days ago, I should have the Crab Volleyball one too but I keep having to quit because of the glitch where the ball gets stuck at the end of the screen.

What Blizzard game was that description NOT true of? I'm always amazed at how staunchly so many people believe Blizzard games are like, cutting edge of innovation and creativity. They are so recipe based for their various genres that it's almost painful.
Don't get me wrong, they're addictive and have widespread appeal, that I won't deny. But when people act like they are the gaming version of the Sistene Chapel, I want to throw up.

IMO, I believe Blizzard's Starcraft, Diablo II, and Warcraft III are up there as one of the best games of more recent gaming history (within a decade or so) along with games like Half Life 2 (and the episodes) and such.
Well, Blizzard really was innovative with Diablo II and Starcraft.
Now, Diablo II seems mundane as the classic hack n slash game, but Diablo I and II essentially started off that whole genre. It is extremely repetetive (umm.....10k AT runs anyone?), but people still continue playing it because you always want that legit Enigma or get another level to increase your fireball damage by so much, ect... I have yet to have seen any game that can really repeat that sense for me
Pre starcraft, most RTS iirc, had multiple sides, but they were essentially more or less rehashes of each other. Sure, different factions had different skins, but they all served the same purpose. Starcraft revolutionized that with 3 extremely different factions that are incredibly balanced. Sure, you could equate zerglings/marines/zealots as fufilling the same niche, but they have very different uses. For instance, cracklings become end game powerhouses once you get a defiler and Dark Swarm up with a few ultras for tanking. Medic marines absolutely dominate mid game against a zerg and zealots are the cannon fodder that you drop in zealot bombs against a Terran containment
Another thought: What is your definition of the gaming Sistene Chapel?
Diablo II first released in 2000 has remained strong for 8 years now. Starcraft, released in 1998 is still going strong a decade later.
You would be hard pressed to find any other game in history that has retained such popularity. The universal "classics" like Half-Life, Deus-Ex, Doom, ect... are still fondly remembered, but not played too often. In fact, I doubt that any of the recent "greats" with great multiplayer like Halo, Call of Duty 4, [insert game with great multiplayer experience] can even still match up the legacy of some of Blizzard's games.

Honestly, the only Blizzard game that interests me is the Diablo series. I hated Warcraft III with a passion, StarCraft was only meh, and WarCraft II was fun for only a little while until you realized the only units that were unique were the paladins and death knights.
Even then, give me Titan Quest over Diablo II any day.
Big sales / mainstream appeal =/= height of innovation and creativity.
World of Warcraft, for instance, is the best selling MMORPG of all time. A lot of that is Blizzard's reputation and the fact that when MMORPG's get really big, they stay really big because most people thinking about joining an MMORPG want to join the one all their friends are on. Mass marketing helped. I would say it is not the best MMORPG I played in terms of a game design standpoint. It was custom designed from day one to be a money milker.
And the storyline... gagh! Half of it is just a rearrangement of elements of Starcraft's storyline and Lord of the Rings. The other half is this Tolkeinesuqe horrid "lore" where someone using a name generator came up with stories about Nazgugiglgiguguiaodugglkgj lifted the cursed skull of the OverLich and used it to raise his armies from the frozen throne, and reconquer the now tainted power of the world tree rootstone!!!
It gave me a headache even trying to get into the "lore" of WOW.
I would bet checkers is a vastly more played game than Stratego. But it's neither more fun nor more interesting to play. It's just easy to learn and fun enough for people to pass it along and teach the game to others.
Going by sales is not the standard I use. By that standard McDonald's mkaes the best hamburgers and Domino's or whoever makes the best pizza. Laughable. But you do get constant sales quotes if you so much as lift a syllable against Blizzard games around Blizzard fans.
