I, myself will still be playing m2tw for a while yet. Firstly because I love M2TW and secondly I don't think I will have the computer to handle Empire TW.

I imagine I will probably stick to Empire for a while, but I imagine I will be back to M2TW at some point. Some of my most enjoyable campaigns in any Total War game have been in Broken Crescent and Stainless Steel. Also, I suspect the medieval theme and melee-heavy combat will make a nice change for when I want a break from the primarily ranged combat of Empire.
Of course, this is all contingent on the system requirements for Empire being vaguely manageable.
What PBI said. I maintain skepticism about suffering firearms. I like a good old sword and shield battle. Then again, I said the same about the move from Rome to Medieval, but I ended up finding it difficult to go back. There's something about the interface of Rome I just don't like...
Probably won't get Empires. I'm still not too happy in which state RTW and M2TW got left in.
Want gunpowder, mongols, and timurids to appear when YOU do?

I waited for the worst MTW2 bugs to be resolved before I bought it, and I'll be waiting for the worst of the inevitable Empires bugs to be resolved before I buy it as well. I want to say, however, that I appreciate all the beta testers who buy it at full price as soon as it's released and fight through the frustrations and annoyances of trying to get a developer to finish a game so that I can pick it up out of a bin a few months later when it's at least somewhat closer to finished.

I'll probably get Empire at some stage (likely not immediately after release), but I'll be sticking around for Broken Crescent 2.0 and EBII to be completed..and probably still playing hotseats if there are enough other enthusiasts still around to join me.
frogbeastegg's TWS2 guide....it's here!
Come to the Throne Room to play multiplayer hotseat campaigns and RPGs in M2TW.
Yo... I'll still play M2TW.... probably not so much SIngle Player, but multi... I'd like to try out a Hotseat for once and I probably won't get Empire at release because I first have to save for a new computer... mine barely handles M2TW ^^
I keep coming back to plat RTW/RTR from time to time while playing M2TW so I'll probably come back and play M2TW from time to time too.![]()
Like the dude a couple of posts above me said... I will wait a year & let the bugs be fixed. But I will still return to my old Totalwar games... I still play my fav-one. RTW:BI.... at least in RTW & Empire We wont have to deal with Timurids >.<
Yes, each title had and has its shortcomings, however, each game has its strengths and is fun if you play to it's strengths. I am looking forward to ETW but will most certainly continue to enjoy RTW and M2TW. I especially like the Kingdoms scenarios for M2TW and look forward to the interesting challenges set forth in ETW. I recall, when M2TW came out, some persons on this forum were lamenting that they could not utilize their usual Roman techniques nor adjust to different battle techniques for M2TW. I assume the same will be required for ETW. It will take time to adjust strategies to match the time period and the new technology associated. Finally, the sea battles should be a hoot!!!!
I still play RTW ocasionally, and I think that I will come back to play MTW2 once I have palyed Empires for a while. I probably would have shelved both games long ago, but both games have some great mods that keep them alive. I will probably buy Empires right at realese, although with most games, I usually wait a couple months untill some patches are out. The TW series have been worth it to buy right away. If it is anything like going from MTW1 to RTW and then RTW to MTW2, the eye candy will be priceless, and the improvements will be amazing. Well worth the extra $20 I have to pay the retailer.![]()
There's a chance Empires won't even run properly on my PC.. But we'll see.
I'm certainly playing on super low quality, but if it looks nice.. I'm not sure.
