Im pretty sure its Kofi Annan (old un sec) next to prince charles... looks more like him than mandela imo...
the old guy between confucious and eisenhower might be Adam smith... looks fairly similar unless anyone has a better guess
also the jolly old guy next to jordan is ariel sharon i believe....

I hope not. It'd be a shame for Napoleon Bonaparte to be burning down yonder. He was so kool.![]()
I just looked it up, it's called Discussing the Divine Comedy with Dante. I can't find an answers page yet, though...

The guy above Mao wearing the Mao suit I think is Zhou En Lai
I think you got Picasso wrong. Although I don't know whos the guy with the picture in the front. I'm pretty sure that Picasso is the one to the right of Nitzsche.
Also I think the guy in front of Che is Beethoven.

List of Chinese historical figures I could see in the picture:
(Next to Pele) The guy in green robe with the long beard is Guan Yu, a top general in the three kingdoms and a famous character in dynasty warriors.
(Under Beethoven) The person in army uniform reading a book is Lei Feng, a model patriot soldier serving Chairman Mao.
(Above Churchill) Bruce Lee
(Under De Gule and Thatcher) Sun Yat-sen, Chinese revolutionary leader who played an instrumental role in bring down the last Chinese dynasty down.
(Beside Maxim Gorky) Deng Xiaoping, the Chinese revolutionist that abandoned dogmatic communist method and led to modern rich China.
(Next to Lincoln) Chairman Mao, the fellow above him is Zhou Enlai, the prominent Chinese foreign minister in the cold war.
(Next to Ghandi) Confucius
(Under Castro) I think its Laozi, but not sure.
(Next to Prince Charles) The lady is Empress Dowager Cixi, powerful conservative ruler (through her son and nephew) of the last few decade of the Qing dynasty
The Chinese general on the far right side is probably Yue Fei.
There’s the first emperor somewhere in the picture, the guy kneeling is either the last emperor Pu Yi, or he looks like Tojo to me. Don’t know about the old man behind him.
The three men on the balcony is a mystery to me. Same as the photographer on the right side and the man next to mother Theresa. The horseman next to Napoleon looks Chinese but I’m not sure whom he is.
Hmmmmm... the more I think about it the more the guy Yoyoma labelled as "Yao" looks like Liu Xiang, instead of Yao Ming.
Edit: The guy next to Elizabeth II I think is Chiang Kai shek (Jiang Jie Shi), leader of the KMT.
Also, the guy Yoyoma labelled as Marcos is Deng Xiaoping, as QCJ said above.

So, if they're discussing the Divine Comedy with Dante, what Circle of Hell would that be???
Right, now I get it, each little goup of faces, are their own little Circle in Hell. Nice touch. Imagine that, an artist with a sense of humor? Although... it kind of reminds me of the Dogs Playing Poker picture.

Check.
Thatnks, I had gotten or been given a couple of them, but you helped out an amazing amount. Also thanks for Gorky, that's his head on a famous Custer pose.
I'm pretty sure that's Qin Shi Huang being hung upon.
I don't know if it's Yu Fei, but I'm mainly basing that off of the armor, and lack of giant beard I've seen him portaryed with.
And who's the guy with just the head next to Lenin?
Thank you so much.
A & B) That's definitely possible. Perhaps it's Braque.
C) I'm pretty sure that's Beethoven on piano to the left. Note the hair and red scarf often seen in portraits of him.
Completely Agree

I'm sure with all the undergloom, that's no Limbo nor heaven. Overall that gang looks very Hell-Bent. Maybe, that footballer just hung around with the wrong kinds.

If one looks closely he has the reins of the camel in his hand, there's also a cow, dragon fly, cat & 2 doves flanking that camel. He also is carrying a staff and not a shepherd's crook, nor is he carrying a stone tablet. Just speculation...

Right,
maybe it’s like when Homer due to his want for the 'forbidden doughnut' discovered that Flanders was actually the Devil. And... Flanders said; 'sometimes Homer, its the ones you least expect?'
And... you mean, 'those people are not dead... yet,' as in the painting I think the cloudless, but gloomy sky is a bit more underearthy-brown than dingy-grey.

I recognised four women in the picture. The giraffe with a crown is Elizabeth II, the blonde is Marilyn Monroe, the one next to the piano is Audrey Hepburn from her Breakfast at Tiffany's poster, and the Mad Woman (aka Thatcher). There's a fifth, who I presume is Empress Dowager Ci Xi. Oh, almost forgot Mother Teresa.
