    Default Freezing to Death

I may not make it through the night. It's 20 degrees and fixin to snow. WHO IN GODS NAME WOULD PUT THEMSELVES THROUGH THIS EVERY WINTER?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?.

It was 70 degrees at Christmas I was wearing shorts for God sake! Now I know why the rest of the world is always angry, IT'S BECAUSE ITS SOO COLD
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

It's sixteen Fahrenheit over here in Wisconsin, and I gotta say it feels like a heatwave. Now those three days where the temp never got above zero? That was kinda unpleasant.

Strike: Slash about 55 degrees off of that- in other words, the distance from your Christmas to now- and you get our lowest temperature this year thus far for moi.

EDIT: And its a balmy ten degree out right now.

Salaam friends, I have urged my brothers in northern Illinois and elsewhere to wage jihad against the infidel Jack Frost. We have already been victorious near my mailbox, as we took the snow and threw it into the street, where it was crushed over the course of a few days.

When the temperature returns to 32 F or higher we shall march against the snow and shove it down sewers, where it will melt quickly.

The use of boiling oil and naffatun has not yet been approved due to discrepancies with local village ordnances.

Allahu akbar, brothers, and join me in putting winter in its place.

    Salaam

Besides, snow can be fun. And 20 degrees at night isn't really cold.

Snow sucks and I hate it. That said, I'm with you Strike. I've lived in cold weather climates for many years and they can go to hell.

By the way, 20 degrees isn't cold at all. When the temperature goes negative or dips into the single digits, that's cold.

Yeah, for real. A little frost and snow does not constitute "cold," Strike. Talk to me when you're afraid to touch metal with your bare hands, and then we may have a basis for understanding.

Hmm....I don't get why cold is so bad.

I happen to HATE hot weather, which I call anything above 80 Farenheit. Can't stand it.

Cold, on the other hand, doesn't bother me at all. Heck, my ideal weather would probably be what they have up in Boston

It's been past -40 degrees celsius (I don't know what that is in that barbaric measurement you use ) for the past few days. What the heck is going on???

20 degrees isn't too bad. Are you in San Antonio or Lubbock right now? I lived near Fort Worth and it would drop to the 20s a couple days a year (around the same time we got our half inch of snow that would melt by the end of the day. ).

Interestingly enough, -40 is the one point where Farenheit and Celsius match up exactly.

Hmm. Just checked some weather sites; it's 14 degrees Fahrenheit here right now.

I didn't really have to live with lots of snow in my youth, so it was always a treat. Living now in the cold part of the state is starting to change my mind.

Colder? After nearly ten years near Fort Worth I'm not sure I remember the temperature ever getting into the teens.

I live in Oregon now and it doesn't get that cold. Granted, I'm rather close to the coast...

It's snowing here right now, got about 1.5 inches so far. After 2 weeks of freezing temps perfect for snow, it decides to snow now when temps are going to go up and we will end up with sleet and ice by tonight. Car skating is so much fun.

I like cold weather, but only when i get snow and rain with it! (yes i like rain) i have rain but theres no snow it was like -5oC in my area recently, pretty cold for the UK (or anywhere) but i guess it is winter so it can be expected, and global warming has caused more extreme temperatures, meaning it will probably be scorching in summer, then the rant will be the complete opposite to this one.
