I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

Lubbock County is wet? I guess they just couldn't hold it.

You couldn't buy in the city limits so you had to go 20 min on I-27 to buy. Very smart

Why don't baptists have sex standing up?

Lubbock County dry = no legal booze in city limits

Lubbock County wet = legal booze in city limits...

Im just suprised there was 36% against, from STFS's posts im assuming there was some minor religion (or baptist to be precise) movement against it ?

Lets just hope they follow this move with sensible regulation of the other commonly used narcotics.

TBH if they only just managed to legalise alcohol the chances of them legalising the others seems very slim... mostly those against alcohol are against all the recreational drugs, though caffiene usually gets a free ride... personally i see it as worse than marijuana...

I think most people see different drugs in an order of evilness... unfortunately alot of people are under the impression that

    A) alcohol isn't that harmful and the illegal drugs are

    Or

    B) Alcohol is harmful and all the illegal drugs are worse...

I shall celebrate tonight with a smoke... what better way to celebrate the legalisation of alcohol!

    lets try something...

Eighty years on, Lubbock realises it is 1930! Huzzah!

What will we see next? Will Texas legalise unmarried couples travelling together? Will cussing on Sundays become legalised? Pants for women?

Isn't that odd though? Texas has massive problems of crime, poverty and gang culture associated with the criminalisation of the narcotic market. Can't see the wood for the trees I think.

That goes for the entire country, and yes legalization/taxation would be a very good idea. However, people need to realize that prohabation does not work, and that cannabis does not equal crack cocaine.
