This looks very good - the equipment, the detail... I have one remark, however. Why the skin of most of those soldiers is so smooth and their faces so happy? It deprives them of character. They look like happy boys with weapons.

I can't see anyone smiling XD
They even have wrinkles around the eyes and nose...

Do they look like fearsome warriors screaming their battle cries?
BTW look at the legs of one of the soldiers. Is he 8 years old or what?

The guy on the left - his eyes are completely devoid of life, his skin is smooth and his haircut looks unfinished. The guy on the right looks much better.

Swêboz guide for EB 1.2
Tips and Tricks for New Players
from Hannibal Khan the Great, Brennus, Tellos Athenaios, and Winsington III.
The celts did remove their body hair...
Also those you posted look like they are some lower class warrior, they can be somewhat not so acquainted to fighting... I see them exhorting eachother.
The second pic (i believe they are the boii nietos) look like some sturdy and impassable soldiers who live by fighting...
On a game-engine note: I don't believe that there's a shouting animation in the game, so you have to choose between a ever-screaming one or those posted...

The screenshots were taken with the cinematic editor, you will never look at the units so close ingame. It's easy to find mistakes with such a level of zoom; but I think they look good enough.

Also, have you guys noticed that we tweaked the lightning a bit ?

Haha... Gustave i think you were tricked into showing more screenshots
It looks like a full scale invasion of the Sahara by the Boii![]()

Look at the horses' fibulae!
Did you manage to make different horses? (for example a big boned Nisean and ponies)
Gustave you just keep on giving! Hehe.

Let us then cry together now, both you and I, in joy.
Moros has been quite active on twitter the last few days, although I have no idea what he means by this? The warrior and the moon. -Moros

Huh. It looks like you guys decided to make phalangitai shields bigger this time. In EB1 they were practically bucklers, whereas now they’re nearly the same size as the aspis shields of the Hoplitai.
That's actually an optical illusion. Use relative lengths to measure the approximate length of the shields and you will immediately realize that the shields the phalangitai wear are actually only 2 feet in diameter. The aspis should be around 4 feet in diameter if memory serves me correctly.

Well, I was going to suggest some sort of Michael Jackson thriller reference in regards to the warrior and the moon ie. Moros becoming some sort of werewolf... But I figured that wouldn't have been constructive at all...
You are a clever cookie Vartan, spotting grammatical errors like a hawk. I should have used a full stop rather than a question mark.
I can see your not just a pretty fa...avatar.

Our phalangitai shields are approximately 74cm in diameter, which is well more than two feet.

No they are a mix of Boii, Arverni and Aedui shields. Note that the most colorful ones are for elite units, like argoi, and the most simple ones are for basic units.
I hope this kind of presentation can make you realize the amount of work needed for EB2, and why it takes so long to come. Apart from the shields, each unit use a lot of variations like tunics, armours, faces, etc. ...
