Thread: Twitter discussion

the chronology in the biatec coins are off by over 200 years anyway

i still think that barbarian family trees should be based more on tribal elections taking place beteween the strong families than in an actual real life barbarian family anyway

ofc i´m the dude who defended that influential people should be put as retinues on councils and stuff and when the time came we just grabbed the retinue and add it to an existing military unit (this would ofc lead to the creation of a 3rd tier in cities known as the council and depending on the buildings and ofc the city size so would the size of the council would be)

and ofc the hability to put zenus the mule leading a classical hoplite army or putting a clerk leading a militia group (ok so some caps would have to be put in to prevent a geomancer from taking control and leading a noble cavlary unit ... )

but this sistem would represent rome far better and many other societies like the greeks or kart hadast altough not monarchies like the diadochi

Looking at the mini-map in Moros' excellent South Arabia screenshots, I notice that the Sauromatae's borders extend all the way to the top of the map. Does this mean the northern steppe/forest zone is no longer Eremos?

I'd like to see something of Pergamon or Kimmeros Bosporos. A unit, an agent, a settlement, anything at all.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

That looked like file size to me. Data is typically compressed for downloads.

Also, that's a pretty hefty price tag for a spy. It would be instructive to know Lusitania's starting income just for a reference point. Maybe a shot of the finance scroll.

The graphics in the latest sneak peek look very weird - almost like RTW at points (Am I correct in assuming those are imported RTW buildings?). It looks like someone's been meddling with the weather_db here:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Has EBII altered the climate types or weather patterns?

Those are DBM models, I also presume they're from RTW.

We've pushed back that ugly fog at distance seen in vanilla:

Sadly you cannot control the vegetation and terrain at high distances, it's hardcoded.
So yeah, in some cases it looks like RTW, if only that could be modded...

    Yes I have.

I guess it's just a difference of opinion, but I think that the fog significantly improves graphical quality - at the very least, by hiding those hideous mountains. Thankfully, that's easily changed.

Does EBII use the same logistics system?

Of course it is, in some cases i looks worse in some better, you'll see this as we've changed the geography and may change your mind.

It's just a question that popped into my mind. EBI used traits, like "Rationing" or "Belts Tightened", to simulate army supplies. I just wondered if it had been changed.

While on the topic, though, does India have it's own climate and vegetation?

Too sudden the change, yes, it's still in.

Not in the first release, we're almost using all of the climate slots, only one is left and we will assess in the future where it's mostly needed.

No, other things will do that, like the new vegetation or unit models.

Don't forget that EBII has numerous steppe and later prehistoric temperate European factions (I couldn't bring myself to say "Celtic").
