My hopes are high now. We're almost there.

I would like to emphasize how pleased I am to see so many people helping out on the actual grunt work of getting the game going. I very much believe that stuff like that indicates that this will be a strong and very enjoyable game. I'm looking forward to it more and more every day, which says alot considering how fatigued I was with TW RPGs at the end of LotR.
Thanks to Tristan I have access to the game. Pics should be up once cropped and uploaded.

Well, now that things are finally getting started I should tell you all that I'm leaving town in about six hours and will be gone for the whole weekend. So, uh, try to make the character selection process take as long as possible.
Actually, I may be able to access the internet at night. Hopefully I won't miss too much. When I get back I'll get started on the Royal Library. I'm hoping to get the next round started of 'Save my LotR Strator' before I go, also.
Since people had trouble downloading the mod from my uni. account here's an alternate location for the mod.AGE MOD NOT INCORPORATED YET.There's both an executable version and the 'source' which can be used by anyone to make an updated version of the exe (just put the new or updated files to the correct place inside the landstoconquer folder and it will be installed to the corresponding folder). The installer software I used was NSIS.
I try to check here daily but I'm too leaving for summer holiday next week and might not be available reliably.
EDIT: Age mod now incorporated!

That installer is awesome Rowan, many thanks!
Is it possible for someone to post a list of who the starting Dukes are (player and avatar names) along with the provinces they will control? I would like to start some IC communications, but need to know exactly who I'm talking to and what their position is.
Alain de Rohan - Duke of Brittany (Rennes) (Aussiegiant)
Hugues de Champagne - Duke of Lorraine (Reims) (Overknight)
Raymond de Provence - Duke of Bourgogne (Dijon) (Cecil XIX)
Prince Louis - Duke of Aquitaine (Toulouse) (Ramses II CP)

That's a scary amount of Illumination.![]()
Just my thoughts as I was posting this...

One thing I noticed is that, just like in vanilla, retinue aren't transferable...

Zim, maybe it is time to open a stories thread?
I'd really like an installation thread.
Installation does need to be documented, but until then, try this. Install Kingdoms, patch it to the latest available and then install LTC gold. For the mini-mod, it seems straightforward: just download Rowan's excellent installer (see a few posts up) and double click it. It seems to auto-detect the directory you have put LTC in. Download the kotrstart save and you are ready. (The save may well change later to reflect some buffing of the AI.)
well it looks like I am not going to be here for selecting my character, the tournament, or anything.Do you all think I should choose a house now? Or just wait till I get back?

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I think it would work either way. If you are pretty sure of the House you want to join, I think its Duke would be sympathetic with your OOC situation and be open to a "blind" invite. But if you are unsure, you might want to wait to see (a) what the traits of your general are; and (b) to find out more about the kind of Houses the Dukes want to run.
yeah may as well just wait.... Just sit whatever avatar I end up with in a city until I get back.![]()
