Obama an embarrassement abroad? Not so much in Italy, buddy. This is Latin Europe. We're still puzzled by Clinton's treatment. A near impeachment over a creative use of a cigar? Bah.
(Yes, it was about a false statement. Which was about an extramarital affair. So those public statements don't count. They are white lies that serve a private purpose)

While we're on it:
Berlusconi has an eightteen year old lover. One of many mistresses. Some of them paid. You can watch them topless in La Pais.
Sarkozy, while in office, got divorced and re-married. To a woman 13 years his junior. Who can be admired in full frontal nudity for those with basic google-fu.
Rachida Dati, a French minister, is a single woman who got pregnant from, as persistent rumour has it, the prime minister of Spain.
Chirac was nicknamed 'mister five minutes. That's five minutes, including the shower afterwards and his return to the waiting state limousine outside.

Granted, that's all considered an embarrassement. Yet all have been or will be re-elected.
A bigger embarrassement was huge Michelle Obama wearing high heals for the photo-op with midget Sarkozy. A graver matter to the macho Latin mind. This is the conservatism of Latin Europe.
