Gontran's feeling frisky! Taking the save.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

    Back.

Can anyone disprove my hypothesis that a character with 100% movement points at the end of a turn is more susceptible to acquiring negative traits? Maybe I'm confusing this with MTW.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
An attempted sally out of Staufen was fought to a draw.

Edit: Hugues and his army came in as reinforcements, which is why a Captain is listed.

This save should be right. I let Staufen fall. Also moved Gaetan per the palyer's request. Given the circumstances of the player's being away I figured it was fair to move him about as far as he could have marched the last couple turns he had missed. Plus, we did put him on a boat to Adrianople and all.

As per the King's encouragement, Hermant despatched the German remnants in Flanders. It's not worth a screenshot, but suffice to say 30 French fought 55 Germans. We lost two. I thought we got all of them, but one was captured. I did not have the heart to do anything but release the poor chap.

Zim's save was called KOTF-1093-7.zip but contained KOTF-1093-6.sav, so I have called the sav file KOTF-1093.7 but the zip is 7b.

Disregard. Where did the king get those mounted sgts from? Yea, I'm starting to agree. One general's bodyguard and two light horse shouldn't be able to win against that force.

Oh, and if that handsome devil requests adoption, I want him. I think I'm willing to let Gontran die for him.

Hugues and his army went to the Moselle ford. I also moved Bertin de Montsault (allowed by his SoT) to there as well. He was alone outside Dijon, and I didn't want him picked off.

Yeah, I had worked from Overknight's save before and already uploaded a KOTF-1093-6 so for the upload I just added one to the number. Probably should have just added a "b" or something.

Tristan, you besieged Franfurt with the HRE Emperor who was in it.

At ratio 3:7 against, he seems to think he has a chance against you and 2 regiments of mounted sargents.

I guess he was wrong. Happy slaughtering, it would be sporting if you could take some casualties. :)

    New save

Frankfurt has fallen... And Kaiser Heinrich died defending his city...

Philippe lost half his Bodyguard and 7 Mtd sergeants.

I could have made it less (The AI completely abandoned the city... One of the mtd sergeants was used to occupy the square...)

I was tempted to just let the time run out without engaging the Imperials but that would not have been Philippe IC.

Due to the commentaries in the OOC thread, I was sorely tempted to withdraw from the battle (but IC it would again not have been Philippe...)

    SENESHAL REPORT Season 9 (1093)

    Le Trésor Royal:

My King, Dauphin, nobles of the realm.

It was a disappointing year for diplomacy.

We were unable to ratify the exchange of land that our King was promised by the English. It seems the King of England says one thing to our Monarch and another when it is time to making good on his promises.

I will attempt again to fulfill the requirements next season.

Her Highness Princess Constance is still unaccounted for and it seems as a result our standing and influence with the Papacy is waning. While our King has killed the Holy Roman Emperor in the siege of Frankfurt the Pope has ordered us to cease hostilities immediately.

    That or face excommunication.

In happier news the Dauphin has had another child. This time her name is Simone.

At the same time another man has asked to be given station and advancement as part of the Dauphin's family.

I'm pleased to provide the following construction beginning this season:

    Antwerp: Small Church
    Dijon: Roads
    Toulouse: Knights Stables

No construction projects were completed this season:

There is a new Duke in Milan.

Finally a diplomat was recruited in Paris and will move east to secure a truce with the Holy Roman Empire now that the war would seem to be at an end.

    le Ministère de la Guerre:

    No units were recruited:
The King has taken Frankfurt and the life of the Roman Emperor in one single action. As you have seen we have been asked to cease all hostilities however the Germans seem intent on being excommunicated as they have now besieged Metz.

Here is the current report from across the realm.

OOC: Save here: 24 Hours to go.

Taking the save for a look see.

Unless my Captain requests otherwise, I authorise the King or, failing that, the Seneschal to deploy the Order Company and myself in any way they see fit to aid the King and defend Frankfurt. My personal preference would be to rejoin my brother knights in the Company if that is possible.

[OOC: Tristan please feel free to move us; AG, if for some reason Tristan does not pick up the save, you are free to do move Hermant, Gaspard, Simon and Eloi as you see fit. The King looks pretty exposed in Frankfurt without the army in which the Order Company is deployed. ]
