    Are you sure you aren't confusing Facebook with Myspace? Agreed, the backgrounds, sounds, and general layout on Myspace were horrid. I could rarely view a page without getting a headache. One of the nice things about Facebook, on the other hand, is that the layout is constrained and consistent. It's almost Apple-style in how it limits your options. A good thing when allowing every housewife in North America to build her own website.

Jerkish drivers don't turn me off cars; idiots sending text messages don't make me curse SMS; relatives who insist on forwarding OMG CUTE KITTY emails don't force me to uninstall Outlook. You're confusing idiots with the tools they abuse.

    Facebook is the least worst social network at this time. That makes it useful. But as I cautioned Mrs. Lemur when she first signed up, "Don't ever mistake this thing for a social life."
