I have accounts at MySpace, Facebook & Twitter. I don't use them much.

MySpace was helpful a couple years ago when my son was in Iraq. He agreed to log on (if not say anything) a couple times a week, so I could check his page and see the "lastLogInDate", and therefore know that he was OK, not laying face-down in a ditch on the road to Baghdad Airport.

My sister started a family facebook contact thing, and I check it out once a week or so, to see who's getting married, going to school, etc. It 90% women/girls and distant relatives.

I made a Twitter account kinda like Lemur, after reading about the Mumbai attacks, and how friends and family (and gov't) there checked on folks' well-being in the aftermath. We get earthquakes and brushfires here, so I thought it might come in handy in the future. My sister tweeted me once, to say she was arriving in-town at 9:30. So far, that's it. :)

In short, I'm always interested in new ways to communicate, and will try anything at least once. So far, I always resort/revert back to email and forums as my preferred modes.
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.

I refuse to tweet becuase I can say more in a status update on Facebook. I like facebook becuase my family and friends are spread across these United States. Oh and I also like talking trash on status updates.

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

I'm pretty much the same as Whacker (even had the Apple ][e as my first computer ). Never had MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter accounts, and don't plan on opening any soon. Narcissism is not one of my strong points. The woman has a Facebook account, but doesn't really do anything with it.

    Spam will kill Twitter. Hopefully.

Nope. No twitter for me. Simply not a productive use of my time, and I'll leave it at that.

    Tried twitter, didn't like it.

I can't stand the thought of sharing what I am up to, to someone who really don't give a damn about what I do and added me only because he know me.

And things said on twitter are somewhat silly.

Facebook on other hand. You can check what people who you lost touch with are doing. You can even peek on some random conversation for gossiping material.

I'm with the naysayers (In fact I pretty much agree with Whacker ). I'm not signed up to any of those pointless sites and never will be.

Hmmm, does this mean I have to stalk and kill her, or does it mean we're gonna be best friends? I can never figure signs and portents out, really ...

I'll support you by any means necessary if you choose the wise first option.

So, does it turn out after all these years that "Page Not Found" is actually some kind of mean female, who also likes to call herself "Lemur"?
