I wonder if there is a role who has a mission on closing the rift, to bring an end to the war or someone awesome like Macros the Black in the game.

Alright, since I've been killed in the first round in the last two games I joined, I want to issue a warning;

If somebody kills me in the first round of this game, my vengeance shall know no end.
In future games, every time I am mafia, I will take my revenge by killing the transgressor in the first round.
When I am not mafia, I shall hound my target until they dance the gallows jig, no matter their role.
I will do this for every single game the transgressor joins; they shall know no peace, no rest, no respite.

I will do this until the end of time, or when I feel the transgressor has learned their lesson.

Edit: I couldn't resist. However, I will say one thing, if you are actually found to be Mafia on the first round, I would consider voting you fair game. Though the actual chances of that are pretty remote. So I think you are safe.

Basic Breakdown of game:

You will either be from Midkemia or Kelewan.

Midkemia: Generic Fantasy world. Has elves, 'dark' elves (Brotherhood of the Dark Path), trolls, goblins, magicians men, dwarves etc. The 'town' of this world is the Kingdom of the Isles, one of the largest kingdoms, second only to Great Kesh to its south. The 'mafia' are a group of assassins. If you imagine the Kingdom of the Isles as your normal kingdom, all human etc, then Kesh as the 'easterners' from earth, you wouldnt be far off. Desert people, flowing robes, dark skin etc. Kind of England borders Africa. If you arent with the Kingdom of the Isles, you are either anti-town (mafia) or maybe you just hate humans etc.

Kelewan: Houses a Tsurani empire. Humans, but a bit shorter. Imagine feudal Japan (honour, die by my sword etc) then you pretty much have Kelewan. 'town' is everyone really, with a head, a publicly announced Emporer, and the 'mafia' are one of the houses (The Minwanabi)

The two worlds have been connected by a rift (Riftwar, geddit?) and have been at war for nearly a decade. If you are from Midkemia, you want the Tsurani dead, if you are from Kelewan, you want the barbarians of Midkemia dead.
