Default EB II Preview: Halloween edition. j/k

    OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

It's that time of year again... It is the perfect excuse moment for EB fanatics players to dress up, and go out party with drunk college girls friends.

So lets upload some EB themed costumes:

This year I was the same as last year:

however.... I updraded my costume to make it look more like the picture above. However I was missing 2 small things:

    1.The center bronze plate.
-It was 10:30pm already and I could not spend another 2hrs cutting the circle, sowing it, painting it bronze and waiting for it to be dry enough to out.

2.Paint the shield boss and rim of the shield bronze.
    -same as above.

    Here it is:

    and here is the equipment:

    fun times

Awesome costume man! I would have been so excited to see someone in an EB costume. I was really really tempted to be a Casse-style Gaeroa, like this with all of the woad paint:

But I didn't feel like explaining what I was to everybody, who would undoubtedly be like "um... what are you....?"

Plus, that woad is awesome, but it's real detailed, that would take quite a while...

So instead I was William Wallace (albeit as the historically inaccurate Braveheart depicted him because that way people actually knew who I was) and still got to wear woad paint. My girlfriend's blue eyeliner worked out quite well in that regard though, if anyone was wondering.

Well, people don't really care about the ancient warfare and if they see a costume and if it's not a roman legionary, than it's a spartan in their eyes.

If it was a dream world all of EB fans could have their own Halloween party. Then not recognising a costume would be a real shame. I imagine that it would be one awesome party

    u have to options:

    a. be the R-rated gaesatae in a private party with u and your girl.
    b. be the PG-rated gaesatae for the puplic party. (that requires not just the cloth as cover but some tight fitting underwear because the wind will make your costume R-rated)

That would be pretty hardcore man! If I ever did it, I'd probably do it for the big first-rain streaking event at school haha!

Doing a censored version would be awesome, especially if a fight breaks out between the Gaesate and a 300 movie-spartan. There is always one of those guys around.

The other cool one would be to make a REAL spartan... like this guy:

Such a party would be nice

I'd probably be some kind of Roman/Hellenic/Eastern warrior, but my appearance goes with a large Sweboz

I would be a German too, as I'm half German by blood eventually, plus I'm almost 2m tall.

I am Danish, we are not too keen on Halloween...

But were I to I would use my Viking kit, easiest.

1,98 meters, Dutch, fair hair, blue eyes. There is no hypaspist costume for me Why is there no Batavian Warband in EB??

On a more serious note, maybe Milnaht, the Belgae Swordsman?

Oh yeah some Batavian units in EBII would be nice for us dutchmen, plus we would then need the sreaming woman back in, that was their way of demoralizing the enemy.

Well, from Caivs Ivlivs and onwards Batavian units were a stable of most Roman armies. I like Batavians as you can see in Turbator Germania.

Test to see if I have finally figured how to post pics...

Edited to add, apparently it did not work. Guess I have to use imageshack. Picasa or even my album here does not work...

Hmmm nice costume you made there NeoSpartan!

An EB halloween party would be nice (alhtough I and most people in my area don't celebrate Hallowen) - I couldn't dress up as anything. I would require 6 months of body building just not to look (too) funny...

Maybe I should be a celtic axeman, I could grow such a beard with ease.
