Harmful ads

Let me start by saying that my work comp due to regulations does not have an adblocker and is an old IE version.

That out of the way, going to the backroom sometimes seems to load an ad and then results in a bar asking me to install "Microsoft Data Access - Remote Services Data".
According to several other fora, this is a trojan (should you happen to accept to installing it). It of course also sometimes results in page loading errors too for the page that is currently loading.

Would be great if Tosa could hit someone at atomicgamer over the head

On a related note, sometimes whilst on IE in college (They won't let me use FF ), I will click on a link only to be shown some copy of what appears to be Microsoft Explorer/My Computer, and for the typical "YOU HAZ A VIRUS; DOWNLOAD A TROJAN TO GET RID OF IT" to appear.

EDIT: And those teeth whitening adverts are nauseating and a scam.
