Anyway, this kind of question is always insanely silly. Why do you care about what someone on the other side of the world thinks of you? Someone you are never likely to meet in person. I don't see why you'd need some stranger's opinion on you - it's like putting on a new pair of jeans and walking up to a random on the street and asking "do these Levis suit me?"... I mean WTF!?
I just don't understand sometimes.
In any case, you asked for my thoughts and I'll give 'em to you:
You're a good person. I don't particularly dislike you so you automatically acquire the adjective of "good". You seem pretty genuine, your posting style is fine, you don't annoy me, etc. You're a good person here.

For me it is normal that a person of the age of IP is interested what others think about him. Indeed, creating a special thread for the purpose can influence other members to do so, which would be bad. But we all make mistakes, and we can forgive PI, right?My opinion? I find complement fishing annoying.
On a different matter, I continue to be amused why some people think that asking for reference is always fishing compliments. I don't think it's the case.
