    Default Yo

How long am I "demoted" for? (For just having an opinion I might add ) I'm unable to send PM's to people, which is why I had to post it in here.

EDIT: Looking over my post, I realised it could come across as being slightly rude, so sorry if it does. I would edit it, but I can't, since I'm demoted.

Heh, I am, I'm just curious as to how long it's going to last.

And I know, but that would mean deleting a couple of important PM's which I can't afford to delete.

    1. In your PM box you should select those messages you want to keep.
    2. In the bottom of the page choose to download those messages as XML, TEXT or CSV.
    3. After you have downloaded your PM's delete those you have in your PM box.

As for demotion length, I'm guessing you need to look at the expiration dates for your warning points. I'm not sure what the demotion level is (3?), but I suppose you will get back to normal when enough of your points expire to get you under that threshold.

Ah. My "timeout" (3 points) expired after only one day, but I'm still demoted. I received a four point infraction some time ago, as I apparently "caused trouble" with an alt (Four posts that were no more troublesome than what some of the mods posted in the same thread), and that's not due to expire until...11-01-10.

    Hmmm...

I'm not 100% on the points threshold (or the demotion expiration). Need a mod to verify, or someone like DevDave.

    Brilliant.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

It appears you have a "custom infraction" and a regular moderator cannot access your profile to check the length of this demotion. A polite pm to Tosa or maybe Ser Clegane might answer your question. I know Tosa has been extremely busy with RL and the recent server error troubles here.
Between that and the upcoming holiday you might not receive an immediate reply. Sorry, but I don't have a better answer than that.

Unless your current ban is not due to a regular infraction (in which case you'd have received mail from one of the admins, but I assume you haven't, otherwise you wouldn't have opened this thread), it should have expired after three days.

We're currently upgrading the forum, so maybe the infraction system got damaged in the proces.

As Hosa said, I think it's best to contact Ser Clegane or TosaInu, as they're the only ones capable of helping you.

Since you can't pm, I'll pm them a link to this thread for you and ask them to look into it.

It could take a while before you get a reply, since both our admins have RL stuff to attend to at the moment.

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
