    Default Deserta Invicta

Anyway I can conquer Eremos? I remember in an old build I could, but now terhazza is allllllll the way down where I can't reach it. What's more, Najd is connected to central Sahara as a single region. I mean I (as the Romani) have conquered all of North Africa (inflicted epic pwnage upon the Ptolemies who are busy noming up the Seleucids) and yet there's this huge ugly spot with irregular borders just sitting there occupied by Eleutheroi. :/ While in real life there would be no way to control such a massive area of the desert from one settlement, I think all of North Africa would look so nice coated in red. Any way to fix this? Is there a problem that if all the Eleutheroi settlements are gobbled up the rebels vanish? It's definitely a wall in my way

P.S. What in Alexander's name is that avatar? O.O

You can only conquer it by cheating.

It is designed to both represent the unconquerable expanses of the Sahara and Arabian deserts, as well as to house game-critical "buildings" in Terhazza.

Hack the game at your own risk.

Hmmm, that's definite failsauce :/ I suppose I could cheat a bit and send a wee spai down there and check out what these buildings are. :p Btw, there is a building in Tuat that has a descriptor which says "WARNING: This text should never be displayed on the game screen" or something to that effect. All it seems to do is allow me to construct a Region 1 Government.

Also not to be a wiseguy, but don't you think it's kind of silly calling it the Sahara desert? Just call it the Sahara. :p

I conquered it in my Romani campaign, but only after i conquered the rest of the world...
I'd advise to resist your urge and not conquer it, or only at the end of your campaign. Not that it caused any bugs with my savegame, but it's not worth the risk.
About Tuat, dont worry about the 'victory' building, IIRCC the EB team put it there because there was no place left in Terhazza(Eremos' settlement). Just dont mess with it and it won't cause any problems.

I was thinking that might be a good approach. "With all the known world conquered and her great enemies vanquished, the proud Romani march into the forbidding deserts to crush the last of the rebel filth." Lol, it's not like it's a particularly strong urge. I can wait to the end. :p Ah that makes sense :) Hey as long as it lets me build a homeland bulding and doesn't screw up my game idrc if it's out of place :p

Btw, EB Team is p damn awesome! :D (although I do wish they could have completed the yearly histories past 214 BC ;-;)

Probably because the sentence "It is designed to both represent the unconquerable expanses of the Sahara and Arabian" wouldn't make any sense.
Besides people refer to the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Atlantic, neither is anymore silly than the other.

Guess I should have said call it the Sahara and the Arabian desert. :3 The reason I say that is because Sahara Desert is redundant like Loch Ness Lake. :p I guess that too few people would know Sahara means Desert in Arabic for them to get it though. :( (what's up with my smileys? :o)

Also, how do I get cheat codes to work in this mod? I haven't really needed them but still.

    Fair point.

To use the cheats to work you have to type them into the command console which you open by pressing the key to the left of the 1 on your keyboard. A google search will give you sites that have lists of the various cheats.

    The more common ones are
    add_money x (where x is a number up to 40000)
    toggle_fow (which reveals the map)
process_cq "city name" (finishes all buildings in settlements construction queue)

Not redundant if you are an English speaker like me. When I speak of the Sahara, I don't translate it, because I don't need to bother. The Sahara is named the Sahara for reasons unimportant if I am simply referencing it. If I speak to a friend of the Sahara, and she asks me, "The Sahara? What is the Sahara?", I reply simply that "The Sahara I speak of is the Sahara desert", as that is what its name is. (I reference it by name, not by definition.)
