    Default Interesting things in Hierosolyma

In my AS campaign, I built a lvl IV government and installed a client ruler. Being as its my border with the ptolmies, they attack it with a decent stack every couple years or so. My puppet ruler there has a very interesting trait though.

Apparently he really wants to see Makedonia. (His wish will never come true).

I have another FM who got the same trait. Rp-ing, i sent him to the Pella region, and then to Demetrios (all the way from Susa) and his trait didnt go away. Is it supposed to?

Also, I am really impressed with Jewish spearmen. They are just the toughest, cheapest thing ever. Fighting off the the Ptolmy hordes arent so bad when you have a few of them in your command.

Guarding on of my flanks, they took on 3 different units on without routing. (2 theurophoroi and 1 thorakitai) I simply couldnt believe that they made the thorakitai rout. Mind you, that i didnt charge the Thorakitai in the rear. On the other flank, the Jewish spearmen were holding their own to the Galatian heavy swordsmen that the Ptomies employ. Ive had much success with them in the past, but i didnt realize just how good they are.

Any one else been really impressed with a lower level unit?

As to the latter, have a look here, should give you a few hours of reading ;-)

Which was an extremely unnecessary act of you. These "Romaioiktonoi" do spam all over the forum, and if I make a simple - a little bit earthy - Joke, that the character better go to carthage than makedonia you think you have to prove, that you were correct, when you described yourself as "grumpy" in the thread "how old are you". My God, don't you have more serious problems to be concerned with? If I wouldn't know it better I'd almost think you're even proud of being such a nitpicker. It has nothing - n o t h i n g - to do with "my faction is better than yours", don't even know what gives Ludens the idea. I have no "faction", i played Makedonia as well as the Romans or Carthaginians - it was all fun.

    That is your opinion.
Personally I think this place should be above the spamming and flame wars you find elsewhere just as EB is above other games/mods, and goading the Romanoiktoi will not achieve that, especially as they are actually behaving themselves these days.
But I believe (from empirical deduction and general experience) that they will react to the goading no matter whether you intend it as goading or not. And as the thread was turning ugly, I was obviously right. What you see as "fun" may be percieved as an offense by the reciever.

Further, reporting a thread does not mean it automatically gets closed or deleted. It means that a moderator will keep an eye on it, nothing more and as I have been specifically asked to do so because of my uncanny ability to notice the bifurcation points where threads turn ugly, I do so.

What you think of that and the way the moderators keep the forums clean is your choice.

Yes, exactly my point.... I was not goading any Romaioktonoi or however they are called. Never even said something about Rome being so great or whatever. It had nothing to do with Romaioktonoi - stuff.

Which reciever, it was turned to the starter of this thread ... no Romaioktonoi

But, unless you have not read anything at all in these forums the past year, you know that 75% of the Romanoiktoi are also Philhellenes and especially Phil-Macedonians, so when writing something bad on Macedonia- even in jest. They usually react.

Which reciever, it was turned to the starter of this thread ... no Romaioktonoi
And you think that the reciever is the only one reading the thread?

Nothing more to say on the matter. I would suggest we got back talking about the Phil-Macedonian in Jerusalem.

Come on, they are no pansies, are they?

Yaya, let's talk about the phil-makedonian. Let him go to Makedonia and then back to Jerusalem. The trait will not disappear, but you can RP it.

I won't yell at you, you're making your job, that's ok. I mean, it was not a very sophisticated poem or important piece of literature that I posted there, so no problem ;-) Actually the only thing that did upset me, was Macilrille being so incredibly quibble about my post, but well... so be it. In the strict sense it was Off Topic (though contentswise related), so you - as Mod - were technically right to delete this stuff, but a little joke here and there should be no problem - at least that's my opinion.

Enough of the "my faction is better than your faction"-nonsense, guys.

    Let's get back to topic.

I don't see a post claiming one is better than another. I just see a post on an anomalous trait that apparently didn't go away once the FM was sent to Makedon...
