Gotcha (good point) - MD2020 makes picking out the bits of asphalt a fun occupation, instead of a drudgery chore.That's a good question. Normally I'd say a Chianti is Italian pi...erm, might drown the subtle taste of squirrel. Like rabbit, the taste is easily overpowered. But since we are preparing the squirrel spicey - much of it's soft texture having been lost by running it over, so a more robust preparation is in order - a stronger wine might not be inappropriate. Worth a try!
