The fireworks are unpacked and prepped for quick ignition. Did some test shots last night. Prepping the grounds today, making sure we don't start any fires we don't actually want.

Big stretch for me coming up in the next couple of days. Fireworks and barbeque tonight, heading down to the shore with some friends tomorrow, and then on Tuesday, taking part in the most American of all activities: jury duty.

You're a monster. A slavedriver. Some of us have been drinking and partying for two straight days already. And we've already had two nights of fireworks. No, tonight I put the kids to bed and hid out. Tomorrow is a school day (well, actually it isn't, but it is a work day, and the idiom is what it is), and I can't drink anymore.
