    Default Ads

Several ads at the Org are very intrusive, and according to McAfee, are unsafe. I realize that we need sponsors to stay afloat, but we shouldn't have ones that may give our members viruses.

I use IE. I don't see why you say that McAfee sucks, I prefer it to Norton. What does that have to do with anything though?

That's your problem right there, you are using IE.

Using IE on the internet is like being a child who has never encounted any illnesses before as they spent their life in a bubble being sent to a plague clinic.

Yes, well I have tried Firefox before, and it ran like garbage. Considering that 90% of people use IE, shouldn't we avoid sponsors who have virus ridden ads instead of just telling people to get over it?

A lot of people listen to bubblegum pop music, but that doesn't make it any good.

If I understand correctly, the Org does not select sponsors, the host (AtomicGamer?) does. This is the price for hosting us. Since they don't exactly do the best job vetting the ads, you should move to a more secure browser.

That's like comparing rubbish to dog poop. AVG or Avira are a lot more preferable, whilst ThreatFire and Spybot are absolute musts regardless of the antivirus you use.

Use Chrome then Firefox does take a looong time to boot up, but once it's warmed up, it doesn't run any slower than IE. Thing is, IE runs like garbage without you knowing it.

IIRC globally it's only 66% now (And I'm guessing that the majority of people who use the .Org do not use IE), and it's falling fast.

Well, we should do that too. But FF and Chrome keep away the worst ones.
