    Default Texas

It seems like the winds of SwordsMaster's life are about to take him to Dallas for a few months. So I need tips: Bars, restaurants, places to go out to, theatres, opera houses, whatever. What does a man do on weekends?

I would be interested in doing some rock climbing, and also was thinking of doing an advanced driving course if such is available. Also I need to get a motorbike license and don't know the process for doing so across the pond. Can anyone shed some light in my darkness?

    Cheers!

If you have a driver's license from another country, you shouldn't need anything over here. I think you are allowed to use your current license for up to a year. I assume your current license has you down as motorcycle rated?

I can't really help you out with Dallas, apart from the Cowboys and strip clubs I don't know too much about the city. I'm more familiar with Austin and San Antonio.

    Strip clubs?

I have a car license from home, but no motorcycle. I was in the middle of getting one, and now have to go to Dallas for work...

    World traveler. My man.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

I don't really know anything about the Dallas area so I couldn't help there.

You seem to travel a lot Swords. May I, if you don't mind me asking, inquire which career allows a man to see so many places? Last time you were posting I thought you were in Africa?

I was :) I returned from 6 months in Morocco in June, been travelling within Europe for a bit, and about 2 hours ago disembarked in the burning hot flatland of Texas. And the customs officer took my ham. A WMD suspect, no doubt.

I work as a telecommunications consultant for 3G and now LTE technologies. Not as glamorous as you thought, eh?
