    Freda Payne, Band of Gold

Considering this is the UK pop chart, not too shabby. Judging from some of these, it could be waaaay worse.

If it's a choice between Freda and Neil Diamond's Cracklin' Rosie, I'll take Freda. Much better pipes.

Oh lawdy. Must've been a slow time in the music industry. Although, come to think of it, I guess its not any worse than the poor sods being born now.

Not too bad for the UK list, the sax tune (it is a saxophone right?) is good imo, but we can dump the singer:

And the US is purely for the lols. And I'm not kidding...
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

I don't think there was any chart, but Mozart had just finished his Concerto for Flute and Harp.
