I can't just let her keep spreading rumours to people I don't know yet, what do you want me to do? texting/facebooking can be ignored/taken less seriously.

1. Trying to track her down to speak to her only proves her point.
2. Its for a reason.

Best option: Ignore it. If someone mentions it to you, just say "Oh is she? Whatever floats her boat."

Indifference is your friend. If you stop caring, the problem will go away.

What's in a reputation anyway? Your close and personal will not change and will know who you are. Who cares about people you will never meet? Ignore her and move on with your life as the others have suggested. Ignorance (and a thick skin) are bliss afterall! This thread makes me so glad I am no longer in High School! :)

Alright so the deed is done. cursed her out, and she was flabbergasted and by her tone sort of remorseful. she knows how angry and disappointed I am, and is still denying ever saying anything (another lie, multiple people told me), and I am ignoring her now. still, she does sound sort of remorseful now though.
either way, shes a bitch and a liar and I don't associate with her kind.

Unless, o'course, they were actually lying at the behest of that guy you were competing with, eh?

Being the bigger man is awsome - with time you will find ways to ignore this sort of thing.
