The best tractor you can buy is a Deutz FahrKubota makes excellent compact tractors for the type of work you'll be doing. My father owns three of varying sizes to maintain a piece of land we have in the country and loves them - Japanese reliability and efficiency . He is of the opinion that Deeres are overpriced and the company has bad customer service, but I wouldn't know.
