Default Looking for Early Germanic Arms and Armor Pictures

So for German class, I need to bring in home-made (cardboard/paper mache) armor and weapon, authentic to early (100BC-500AD) Germanic look.

Google images brings up anything from Panzers and Hitler, to under-armour cleats, to a 1970's pic of 2 naked chicks in a hot tub. So I am coming here for help to find pics, especially since I know the EB team is stationed at the .org.

So, again, armor, shield, and weapon (probably just a sword, spear is too difficult to make+fragile) picture from any of the Germanic tribes (Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Saxons, Vandals, Franks, Lombards, Angles, or Allemani) between the time period of 100BC-500AD, preferably more into the latter half.

    Thanks all for the help.

Definitely don't use "German" in your Google search, use germanic tribe names. Marcomanni, Chatti, Suebi, Quadi, etc. Check Wiki for Roman-Germanic battles and pick out the tribes, then search from there.

using franks, ostrogoths, visigoths, etc. turns up with random crap as well. I'm really hoping I can get some EB guys in here to help, they seem to know like....everything.

I don't think Franks works well either. Use Salian/Chamavi instead. Be more specific. Use Vesi, Greuthungi, Thervingi when searching for Goths, otherwise you get pale-faced kids with black makeup.

Try adding "Osprey" to your searches to pick up any images from that series of books.

I glanced at the thread title and was sure I could help. I was only 1500 years off.
