it's a very bipolar view of this deity....he's a just and loving god and he cares about you personally...but if you question him or don´t pray enough he will condemn you to the worse place imaginable were you will be tormented forever...

Supposedly the rapture comes before the Armageddon.
When the end of the world (Armageddon) is about to happen, the true believers would be whisked up to heaven...

think about it like an airport VIP service....you get to board earlier and get extra peanut packets.
so this is why so many religious lunatics cream their pants at the thought of the Rapture...the idea is that you get to go to heaven without dying......which seems to still scare them....which for people that supposedly have THAT much faith is kinda funny.

so you get to board early and are spared dying...the bad side is that you miss the main event show! Come on man...the Armageddon, I want ring side seats! It's gonna be better than wrestlemania!!!

it's kinda like how the christian hard-line groups are all pro-israel.....because it says in the bible that Israel has to exist at the end of days so that the rapture works correctly.

The whole rapture thing is a pretty modern idea, the only Christians that believe it are some Evangelicals, mostly in the USA, after it was invented by a witch during WWII.

It's a totally American thing and typical of there fast track approach to getting to heaven "hey man we dont even need to die to get to heaven".
