[EB] Errors in latest EDU 3.0

This thread is just to keep track of any errors that have been discovered.

Please keep posts to ERRORS ONLY. In other words, something you reasonably believe gamegeek2 or Vartan did not mean to do, and/or something they forgot to do. This means no "suggestions", no complaints, no whining about changes and especially no hijacking. There are separate threads for that. Please take it there.

Now, there will obviously be some grey areas where you are unsure if there is a genuine mistake, or it was intentional. Please feel free to post this if it is a genuine concern.

If the modders could acknowledge when they have taken care of something, I will take it off the list.

Errors found:

Luso general does not give morale boost (no eagle)
Not all jav cav have javs which are AT LEAST10 attack (I believe this is an error, though I am not 100% sure. Not referring to Germ Jav Cav btw)
Pedites Extraordinarii can form testudo.
Numidian slingers have 10 more men and are cheaper than Ioasatae.
equites singvlares dont have eagle other one have

Not an error:

German Aux jav cav is supposed to have 14 jav attack

Roman generals do not have eagles either.

German Mercenary Light Cav has 14(!) javelin attack!

All the light German cav types have this high an attack and in vanilla, their attacks are noticeably higher than others as well so I don't think this was unintentional. They should be priced accordingly.

Pedites Extraordinarii can form testudo.
Numidian slingers have 10 more men and are cheaper than Ioasatae.
Romes eastern auxilia have a kopis secondary which is not statted as AP.

Thanks for this thread. I will download the latest 3.0 when I get my new hard drive (I am using different computers ATM) and make these fixes. The Germanic light cav wield frameae and were famed for their devastating javelin attack, they were extremely effective for their equipment and cost as they are in 3.0, which is my intention.

Median Medium Cavalry are cheaper and better statwise than Medium Eastern Cavalry.

Parthian Noble Cavalry (Armored Horse Archer, I forget the actual name) Has better charge and stats than Dahae noble cavalry while being cheaper.

The Parthians have a cataphract unit (either cataphract or noble cataphract) that, instead of being tagged as heavy cavalry, are tagged as missile cavalry.

The Armored horse archer/cata archer is definitely more expensive, and the Dehbed cavalry definitely have weaker defenses than the Dahae cavalry.

Don't know if its only me but the Sweboz's Germanic Heavy Cavalry features horses without textures, appearing only as white models.

Well the short pike + phalanx is unbelievably bugged. I guess that's why it was removed from hoplites. It doesn't seem to work and it makes things push stupidly much!

ive heard alot of people saying oh its bugged its bugged but no one told me what the bug is? It works perfectly fine in RSII, so maybe its a mod bug ?

I'm not sure what the problem is but the unit ignore the pike distance and the unit closes to attack with swords and pushes like crazy. So as of right now they are broken.

Can you show the short pike stats from RSII then? Let's test the new short pike phalanx out btw...what did you find ASM?

You are referring to Speutogardoz I assume? They don't have a secondary weapon btw. What happens when they close into side arm range if the model does not accommodate a secondary? I never actually checked on this. Do they still poke?

stat_pri_attr light_spear, spear_bonus_6

and this is the attributes of the phalanx

stat_pri_attr long_pike, spear, spear_bonus_8

I don't think it was short_pike in older versions of EB. I believe it was just spear. Phalangites use long_pike. In fact, I'm not so sure that short_pike is meant to be used with phalanx formation, is it? Isn't that what the old Pictish spear/Alemmani spear units used in BI? That wasn't a true phalanx although it looked like one.
