A wee bit too much drama methinks.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

it's metaphoric term for east asian languages, actually, rains outside the seasonal monsoon and pouring down under bright sun, is dubbed as golden shower because the sun rays give glint of golden rays (especially in the dawn). It was considered a good luck. Now clear your brain with soap...
P.S : although the more correct terms is golden rain or golden pours
