Anyone on NeoGaf? EB thread

If you're not familiar with Gaf it's the biggest forum for gaming and general discussion, so I made an EB thread!

if any of yall post there and need a place to discuss the game, here it is! The 15,000+ userbase of Gaf seem to not be history fans though

Did i do a good job of pitching it? those who are familiar with the game agree with me that it's the best ever, and a lot of people have had their interest piqued by the thread, so hopefully that means more fans of EB, and of history!!!

after work i'll put way more work into the thread, putting deeper faction descriptions and more screenshots taken from my archive

since i don´t know it i will use sarcasm and pretend it´s being frequented by 13 years old and will try to use irony in a weak and faint attempt to disguise my ignorance on that particular subject

anyway fans can never be enough we might even be able to recruit a few decent skinners but if it sticks around there then you can expect alotttttttttttttttttttttttttttt of infantile people crying out for roman superiority lorica segmentata and weak abusive and personal arguments against the "delay" on the launch of eb2 (crap i should have been an oracle)

Well, I'd say good on you for trying to publicize EB to a larger demographic who may have never heard of it before. I certainly hadn't heard of this mod until quite a long while after it was already completed! More players, even more whiny players, is always a good thing, I think.

I'd be careful about any comparisons between EU3 and EB though. I avidly play both, and though they are both technically strategy games, the two experiences are as different as night and day. EU3 has you playing the role of a king, with a focus on economy and diplomacy. EB has you playing as generals, with a focus on warfare.

I put a lot of effort into it, I wanted to portray EB in a light that reflects the quality of the work. I think I did the best I could do with the time I had.

And No Gaf is full of some pretty damn intelligent people, it's the premier game forum and lot's of great discourse takes place. I'd hope to expand EB to them since they are a huge demographic
