    Default Database a bit sluggish?

The forums seem really slow, but only the parts which must hit the database. E.g. posting a quick reply brings up the editor OK, but submitting it takes ages...

EDIT: Seems to be affected by which subforum it occurs. EBH and Backroom are slow, but this Watchtower is quite snappy.

Is this something that you've been noticing for a while, or is it recent?

Just today, I'd say but it has been at it for pretty much the entire day. Connections don't time out properly either.

I haven't noticed anything on my end, but I think our host has had temporary transatlantic router issues before that caused connectivity issues for Europeans but not Americans. This might be the same thing.

This is extremely slow on my end and I have been here for a few hours and have not been able to do anything due to how slow the forums is. It is extremely frustrating.

Although now it has suddenly sped up back to normal.

I experienced that one as well. The site froze up for a short while, then came back, then froze up again.
