    Question Hayasdan Reform Questions

    Hello everybody,

after several trials i succeeded in a Hayasdan campaign so far, that i don't have to fear to crash down as i did sometimes before...Now my question is concerning the Reforms. I finished the Pan-Caucasus Empire Reform, but do i have to conquer Persis+Elymais now, to get the other reforms started? As my expansion is going westwards, i won't get there soon...i conquered Antiochia and Tarsos and saw the "The Conquerer comes..." building, but it disapperaed, after i destroyed the seleucid Type-1 government building, was that wrong? To destroy the building? Actually i am not quite sure how the reforms and the division into different Tiers actually works, so if anybody could tell me?

Thanks in advance so far and a happy new year to everybody!

In order to get the reforms to work you need to destroy the Seleucids government markers. And yes, Persia and Elymais need to be reformed first before you can start the reforms moving east and west.

Ok, still running a wonderful campaign with Hayasdan, being at war with AS and an interesting attack from the Parthian Faction Leader who travelled all around the Caspian Sea, through Sauromation land, just to loiter around the Caucasus....anyway, again a question concerning the reforms...to keep peace with Pontos i could not conquer Trapezous, so technically, i haven't finished the Pan-Caucasus-Reform yet, ist that true? So i need to take Trapezous, before i can start the Orontid Reform, despite having conquered Susa and Persepolis already? I can build "the conquerer comes..." but not the Royal Administration building...so i fear it Doesn't help to build "the conquerer comes" as i first need to take Trapezous to finish the Pan-Caucasus-Empire reform and then i can start any further reform from Susa/Persepolis? I am very thankful for any answer to explain those reforms to me, as they seem to be quite tricky...

    Hi,

I haven't achieved the second reforms yet (mostly as I'm having serious problems with Persepolis - it seems to be the most insurgent-infested hell hole in the game - I've been chucked out 3 times, and last time I enslaved the pop - and they're still kicking off!). But for the pan-caucasus - yes you need trapevous. The thing that took the most time for me was to get the 8,000+ population level in all the cities to build the next governor level.

Now that's what i'm not sure about, as i conquered all the other cities you need and i can build Type-2 governments there, what actually is the objective of that reform...

Well, i just continue, good luck conquering Persepolis, what i already have, just to get betrayed from the Ptollies who were my allies and now lay siege to Antiochia...

The objective is newer and upgraded persian style factional troops. If you don't reform you are limited to lower level persian troops and more greek style troops. The reforms are optional.

EDIT: And east and west reforms are independent of each other. So you can have a greek half and a persian half.
    Completed Campaigns:
    Macedonia EB 0.81 / Saby'n EB 1.1
    Qart'Hadarst EB 1.2 / Hai EB 1.2
    Current Campiagns:
    Getai/Sauromatae/Baktria

Ok, so i don't need to conquer Trapezous to get the Pan-Caucasian-Empire Reform started, as i already can recruit (not afford...) Armenian Noble Infantry and Noble Cataphracts...so i can get better troops when i finish the Orontid Reforms? Like Armoured HA in Persepolis? That would be quite cool...

I think those can only be recruited in the Armenian homelands (caucasus regions) I think in Persepolis youll get armoured Persian hoplites, and maybe the Armenian swordsmen

It's more for infrastructure than troops in all honesty. I think you can get Persian hoplites with a type III government unless I am mistaken.

Yeah man. I've gotten the most rad troops without finishing any of the Persian reforms. EB teases you like that.
