Default EB Runs great on Intel 320 SSD, integrated HD3000 graphics

Just so you are all aware:
Even with removing indexing to save on room on the drive:
EB takes 8 seconds to load initial screen, after the cut scene it loads EB 2-3 seconds. Then when it loads a saved game, again about 2-3 seconds.
Lastly, between turns is about 5 seconds on average.

Intel I3 Sandy 2105 using integrated HD3000 graphics (runs smooth graphics even in high quality)
    16 GB RAM DDR3
    Intel SSD 320.
    Gigabyte MB. Cheap DVD Rom.

Makes for quick gameplay. Could not play RTW on my old machine. Well I could, but it would not load certain graphics, and the load times were like 10 seconds or more for initial or saves. Between turns, not that much different. Battles do not seem to bug out at all, and no unusual slowness waiting for things to run.

I think the fastness of the loading and such is because of the SSD drive and the processor. The videocards in rome only do stuff like unit quality and such. You seem to be one of the lucky few who don't need to wait many minutes loading and waiting for EB to go to the menu.

Well I'm glad it loads so fast for you, hopefully you get immersed in the depth of the game and have a tremendous experience like we all have here.

@lawrenman: I'm sorry to hear about your first world problems. I hope you are able to reduce those excruciatingly long load times down to the millisecond level.

Bleh! I can only get 200 fps with my graphics card. I'm trying to get at least 300!

How do you see that much fps, when I run fraps, I can only see 60 max.

Well to be fair the relevant bit is of course that Intel HD3000 can push out them pixels fast enough to keep up with the engine. Which is useful information for people with budget laptops, I imagine those will increasingly stick with an Intel iSomething rather than an onboard Nvidia or ATI chip.

You're right Tellos. The HD3000 can do an alright job. Those who may still be running on the older...I think it was 965 chipset...then you'll be having some problems...
