    Default Favorite Ride

Me, personally, the Crown Victoria and Mini Coop. The Crown Vic is outdated. It could stand to be a little lighter, and not have the end of the vehicle hang out of the rear wheels so much. Unfortunately, rather than update it Ford decided to discontinue it. That said, if I could only drive one car in my life, it would be the Viccy. What other affordable vehicle is large enough for a 6' 3" person to sit completely comfortably and have plenty of leg room while still providing excellent performance, great trunk space, not-bad MPG, superb reliability, awesome style?

The Mini on the other hand...what else can I say. It is what it is, and therefore is awesome.

lol, don't be so European Frags.
Seriously, I love to bike. I used to bike nearly 50 miles at a time (not a lot compared to some, but I did it just for enjoyment), but biking just doesn't compare to driving a beautiful Viccy with a huge V8 under the hood.

The Honda/Acura Integra, I've been driving mine for 17 years now. The reason I'm still driving a car this old? It's a blast to drive, apparently indestructible, and no one makes a car these days like it. 2-door hatchback with more cargo space than expected (fold down rear "seats"). Lightweight (under 2700lbs), nimble, fast enough but with decent mileage. The last of the great sport coupes. If Honda gets with the program and replaces the hybrid powertrain in the CR-Z with a straight gas 1.8L engine, that will be my new car.

I'm gonna say my 1985 Volkswagen Cabriolet. It's small and lightweight, and since it's manual transmission and has no power steering it feels like I'm really driving, instead of just sitting in a chair and turning a wheel.

I posted it a few days ago and I'll post it again here.

I had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of one of these a few years ago, and it was everything the car enthusiasts claim it to be. Simply put, pure automotive nirvana. BMW pulled itself from the brink of bankruptcy with this car, and used the formula that underpins it to build an empire, and a few hours with the car explains their success. The main reason I bought my baby bimmer was that it was meant to be a modern interpretation of the 2002, and while it's a great car in its own right, it is a poor imitation. Modern cars with their heavy safety equipment and the heavy engines needed to motivate that equipment just aren't the same.

I also really like Land Rovers, from the old Series models to the supercharged, super expensive Range Rovers and everything in between. They, and all British vehicles really, have a certain character and quirkiness that I appreciate, even if they aren't as practical as those vehicles offered by the Borg (toyondai).
