Diablo with guns.
The first was fun, minor issues but still a blast to play. Hopefully they keep the humor and don't screw up the gameplay. For us PC players it's a console game port, the controls of the first weren't bad, but I'm worried about how they handle the limitations of 8 year old hardware and the effect that has on the PC version. And hopefully 2K Games doesn't come up with some insane DRM scheme.![]()

The first game was the best coop experience I've ever had. The sequel is an insta-buy for me.
Here's the first trailer:
Borderlands was terrific, indeed like Drone said Diablo with guns, the looting and customising is just as addictive, they really did it, making a shooter that is an rpg at heart. It was also the bestlooking game of this generation imho
It was certainly a superb style. I am very pleased with the increasing trend in games to emphasize style in graphical design over realism. For a very long time, the emphasis on graphics was greater realism and pushing hardware to the limits. We're now seeing more developers willing to pick visual styles that are less realistic and less demanding on hardware, but which are far more interesting and enjoyable to look at. I think that's a trend that bodes well for the future of gaming.
