AVB is a talented, but unproven manager. He is expected to be able to do far more than he is capable of at the moment.Originally Posted by tibilicus

I blame Mourinho. If it wasn't for the "next mourinho"-hype, AVB would've been treated a lot more fairly than he is right now.

AVB thinks managing teams like Tottenham or Chelsea is the same as managing Porto and of course it isn't.
His shadow still isn't large enough to get big name players to do exactly as they're told, which was especially evident during his spell with Chelsea. Tottenham is a much better choice. He just needs some time, he'll get there.
