    Default GLORIOUS ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE ARAGONESE

    Hello! Can anyone help me please? I want to play as the aragonese in glorious achievements mode, but they dont have any. Not even the homelands points counter. Now I dont know how can i make this happen, i tried to modify the LOC files but nothing comes up. And for some reason if I select the sicilians they do have the crusades counter but not the homelands either. I want to modify this for all the minor factions. ANYONE CAN HELP?

    Welcome to the Org, salvadoreanpeasant!

    Unfortunately, the glorious achievements are hardcoded into the game and can't be modded. Although I thought the Aragonese did get homelands points (5) and conquest points (1 per 2 provinces).

    I'm also quite sure that the Aragonese get 5 homeland points from Aragon, but I have gold edition with VI included, maybe your version does not enable the Aragonese in the same way? Whilst homelands are hardcoded, as far as conquest points go you can edit the rate in which a faction gains points. Here's how:

    Go to where your game is stored and search within the files, the directory should be something along the lines of:
    "The Creative Assembly/Medieval Total War/campmap/startpos"
    Now open either the EARLY, HIGH OR LATE text file, depending on which era you want to edit the glorious achievement values for.

    Once opened, you can either use notepad's find function or manually look for this passage within the file:

    //========================================
    // Glory goal conquest reward multiplier.
    //
    // This value represents the multiplier applied
    // to points gained for conquering enemy regions.
    //
    //========================================

    GGConquestReward:: FN_REBEL 0
    GGConquestReward:: FN_ALMOHAD 0.33
    GGConquestReward:: FN_BYZANTINE 0.5
    GGConquestReward:: FN_DANISH 1.5
    GGConquestReward:: FN_EGYPTIAN 0.5
    GGConquestReward:: FN_ENGLISH 0.33
    GGConquestReward:: FN_FRENCH 0.33
    GGConquestReward:: FN_GERMAN_HRE 0.33
    GGConquestReward:: FN_ITALIAN 0.33
    GGConquestReward:: FN_POLISH 2.0
    GGConquestReward:: FN_RUSSIAN 1.5
    GGConquestReward:: FN_SPANISH 1.0
    GGConquestReward:: FN_TURKISH 0.5
    GGConquestReward:: FN_ARAGONESE 0.5
    GGConquestReward:: FN_HUNGARIAN 1.5
    GGConquestReward:: FN_SICILIAN 0.33
    GGConquestReward:: FN_BURGUNDIAN 1.0
    GGConquestReward:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE 1.5
    GGConquestReward:: FN_NOVGOROD 1.0
    GGConquestReward:: FN_PAPIST 2.0
    GGConquestReward:: FN_SWISS 2.0
    The number values after each faction represent the rate in which they gain points at each 25 year interval, for each province they take. In this instance you can see that Hungary get 1.5 for each province they take, whereas the French get 0.33. Change these values to another appropriate value that you would prefer, then save the file. When you start the game in that era the changes to points given for conquest should now be in effect!

    Remember to make a copy of the file before editing it, so you can go back to basics if it all goes wrong. (somehow!)
