That's confirmed by the "exit-program"(aptly named "Exit") employed by the police here when our local Nazi's started aggressive campaigning targetting young people(my age group at the time) for recruitment. Basically, they kept an eye on them, looking for new recruits. When they spotted a newcomer, they had quickly had a chat with their parents about the situation. That was all that was needed to turn people away from nazism, they just needed their parents to understand their difficulties, talk them over and figure out how to cope with life. The organization soon crumbled, and they're basically irrelevant even within the national neo-nazi movement now(they used to be the top dog).
I see the same thing with the groups of loons who have formed a new radical Islamic group(first of its kind), actually. All young, troubled adults with horrified parents. Employing the same method would fix it, methinks.
