Manor Lords

Since our forums are dedicated to our beloved Total War, I think something close to Total War (at least RTS wise) is finally here, scratching an itch of both Civilisation / Age of Empires and Total War fans combined, into one single game. Also made by one dev mind you, the entire team is just him, one dev doing everything. Title of this game is called Manor Lords, you can see the video above, and it's essentially a medieval city builder with RTS battles a la Total War.

Keep in mind the game has just released, and it's only in Early Access. Not surprising, since the team is minuscule, but even getting to Early Access level is something special. Manor Lords also broke some records recently, with the game being an indie hit by now.

Hi Edzy. I recall listening to a podcast episode on this title. Can't say I've played it yet. Have you gotten a chance to check it out? Or has anyone you know played it yet?

I did @vartan, it's a mix of a city builder with some Age of Empires sprinkled in. What I appreciate is the variety, and it's more focused on the economic aspects rather than just "build and create troops" like AoE has, but overall it's quite solid.

It didn't catch me that much, probably because I have waaay too many hours of Age of Empires, but I really appreciate a solid indie game with a large following. I fully support more games like this.
