I did that once with the seleucids. Spent every last denarii sailing my entire faction over to ireland. By time i got there, i was 100,000 in the red. I died after 5 more turns. But i do agree, it adds a fun spin to an otherwise repetitive game. Because once you get there, you have to catch as many settlements as possible to get your money back, while only using the same army. Because after all, if you're in debt, you can't retrain the troops.

I would have figured you would relocate the Britons to Spain or Greece, fighting over the key vacation spots with the Germans. First one to the Balearic Isles wins!
If multiplayer campaign is ever made for RTW, that would be a good idea. The britons and the germans in a race to get the best places in sunny greece, or maybe egypt.

    OOC

Briton was busy fighting the gauls and the Julii and the Germans on the mainland. So the taking of the British Isles was quite easy. The Earlier mistake I made by recruiting so many peasant, I disbanded alot of them on crete so the financial loss wasnt so great - I also used family members - regenerating their losses whilst using only 1 militia hoplites to use the rams for town assault. after many turns I finally got into profit. I am currently on year 160BC and the Gauls have gone, briton has only 1 region and the julii are fending off germany on the mainland....

My 4 UK towns are now churning out silver shield pikemen and cataphracts (cant get elephants till I get to africa) and I have took 2 provinces from the Briton on the mainland.

    So Far so good.
And your heart beats so slow, Through the rain and fallen snow across the fields of mourning to a light that's in the distance.
Oh, don't sorrow, no don't weep
For tonight at last I am coming home.
    I am coming home.

did a grande crusade with Gaul, i marched to rome destroying every city on my way. then killed all roman factions and sailed to Jerusalem and took it, and then made it my Capitol. i established a army there and sailed back to england. i conquered it and now i'm a million in red.

A million in the red!? Crikey.

You already know the chavs would beat you to Spain....
Nah, they wouldn't beat me to spain, they'd beat me to Palma. After all, we all know what island that is, and that it just so happens to be chav holiday paradise. It's a breeding ground for the burberry scum.

You only have to play for a couple of hundred years and you'll be out of the red!! But taking into account the losses your prolly suffering....make that a couple of thousand years.
