I was speaking to a marine friend of mine in the marnes about weapons. while he did complain a little about the M-16 jamming it didn't seem to bother him too much.

I know he wanted an AK-47 though. I don't know if he picked one up and was using it though, he thought their desert performance was wonderful.

He's also a big fan of the .45. So am I. I've noticed when firing in nasty heat that the one I use sometimes jams too much for my liking, that may just be caused by it not being as well maintained as it should be (just speculation on my part): he never mentioned his jamming in Iraq.
