This is getting curiouser and curiouser. The local sheriff has declared the case closed ('just an accident') without having interviewed the victim of the shooting. The whole thing happened at the home of a lobbyist. For the White House, the incident apparently hadn't happened at all until Karl Rove decided that it had.
