I think Valentine's day is very immoral. It's like having a feast in front of starving children. Plus it makes me want to scream in anger over "the European marriage pattern" we've had since the 17th century, and "Il malo di Napoli" that was created last time we tried to remake the ancient period during the rennaissance. Just think of how wonderful the world was in the ancient societies when there were orgies for everyone, ritual sex and no "Il malo di Napoli"! Now we have a society were almost everyone is sexually frustrated, and when they finally get sex, they can't avoid getting "Il malo di Napoli" and other horrid things at the same time!

Seriously, I don't understand how it can be called "day of love" if it hasn't got any ritual sex!

Don't talk to me about Valentine's day. It was one of my worst this year. I hope Beirut or someone equally understanding in women's woes supports me.

For starters, as I was going to college, I broke up with my girlfriend (can't say it was unexpected, but painful none the less), then I lost my favourite jumper, I had to watch for the whole day as my mates made their Valentines' preparations and plans, fell during an easy climb, and finished the day in a pub, in male company, watching a Premiership match on a giant screen. With my wallet left home, and surviving on borrowed beer money.


The only bright note is I met someone I really appreciate for a coffee and I won the most amazing game of chess I played in the last few months.

Don't talk to me about St Valentine's day. And if I ever meet that Valentine fella, he's going to be sorry....
