I don't like movies that rely to heavily on computer animation. In my opinion it takes away from the acting and perhaps the writing and/or inspiration that could be applied with the actors and 'real' sets and scenery. Anyone seen 'The Goonies'? An old-school classic! I love chunk!

I watched The Brothers Bloom over the weekend, it was pretty amusing, I laughed out loud at several parts. It was next in my Netflix queue and I went into it not really knowing what it was about. Very enjoyable!

I enjoyed Paranormal Activity. They want to make a sequel, I don't know how that can possibly be good. Part of the reason I thougth Paranormal Activity was good was because it was clearly shot on a low budget with unknown actors. Plus, the ending doesn't really leave room for a sequel, I liked it just as it was.

Saw it today. For the first 45/60 minutes I thought it was great. Then the movie slipped. It failed dismally in its resolution. Pity. Somewhere buried beneath the mess-up, I'm sure there is a great movie. I'm surprised the Coen brothers couldn't pull it off.

Has anybody seen The Ghost Writer (aka Ghost)? From the trailer it seems to be the best movie on at the cinemas in the UK at the moment.

I thought it was more comedy than horror. Those fast-forward night scenes were hilarious. My significant other drug me to see it in the theater when it came out. Very disappointed, 20 bucks and 2 hours of my life I won't get back. The ending could have been better.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
They ruined it with the stutter-framing and the changed face on the girl in the last scene. Too cliche. It would have been better if she had just looked at the camera with a normal face, smiled evilly, and reached out to turn it off. More old-school suspense/mystery. I was also severely disappointed by the fact that it was rated R, but the girl (who was quite large upstairs) never got topless. I have no idea why it got rated R, no real violence or language. Highway robbery.

Oh I liked it, but the suits took some enjoyment from it with hyping it, these low-budget movies are made by movie-lovers for movie-lovers, the joy in making it shows in spades. Same with Blair witch, it got a sequel because it made a lot of money not because someone wanted to make a good movie.

The Losers: great, exactly what I want from an action movie. Good action, very funny, and the don't dwell on those "emotional moments" that some action movies have, they keep that stuff to a minimum.

total opposite. crappy, no real direction, and there are 2 characters who switch sides like.....4 or 5 times over the course of the movie. and nobody cares about it. admittedly, i only went because my dad wanted to see it and it was too windy for paintball.

A lovely movie. The first twenty minutes were a wonder of beauty and storytelling. So very sweet and touching. The rest of the movie was great too.

I love Pixar! What a great studio. Each movie of theirs is sheer moviemaking magic. The spiritual heir to Disney in its heyday. Who else would dare to make a high-profile, high-budget movie that has a very senior man on screen for most of the movie?

They did had to mop me up the first time I saw Ratatouille. I cried like a baby. Throughout most of Ratatouille I was just enjoying it as a fun little movie. Then Anton Ego - the cynical critic, got his meal, and I instantly bursted out in tears, it was Niagara Falls all the way to the end. I was in a complete state, a wreck for hours afterwards.

Iron Man 2. great movie, like the first one with a little more insight into Stark.

if you watch it, stay until after the credits. if you dont have time, then this is what happens:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The agent from S.H.I.E.L.D. who went to New Mexico is shown getting out, observing a large crater, and calling someone. He says that they've "Found it". Right before the screen cuts to black, Thor's Hammer is shown lodged in a rock in the crater.

Rent a porno-if you want to see porn, Z&M is more like Woody Allen, bizarre situations.

Oldman was fantastic, and Besson did a great job with little Natalie Portman, only 12-13 at the time. It's a pity she decided to do Star Wars...

I was really impressed by it. I love the scene where she is ringing and ringing the door bell hoping Leon answers and I found I saying to myself: "Just open the damn door!!!".The acting was superb. But, I found it really unnerving that she was flirting with a man 20 years older than her...

Dazed and Confused. Most pointless movie ever.

I also loved Leon. It's been a while now since I've seen it but it'll always stay in my collection.

I saw Marie-Antoinette by Sofia Coppola. I enjoyed watching this portrait of a historical figure in a historical interesting time. I did find the modern music preventing the immersion at times while at other times it worked quite well. Although I think that a more authentic depiction of the queen would make a better movie but it wouldn't have been as lighthearted.
