    Default Whole Grain Cereals

i eat pretty healthy and actually eat breakfast cereal as a dessert occasionally when it is in my house.

I just opened a box of cinnamon toast crunch. The things were tiny, dark brown and the cinnamon/sugar wasn't loose and delicious.

I ate it and now i feel betrayed. I love "breakfast cereals" and eat them as a super sugary dessert ONLY

i will never buy them because they have too much sugar, but now they also taste like crap. congratulations. I used to buy them as dessert, now i will not buy them at all

    i am so disappointed

It isn't my fault that some parents are to stupid to realize that it isn't good for kids to eat for breakfast.

i think we should sight a petition to get food that isn't good for us to taste great and food that is good for us to taste okay

because new "improved" breakfast cereals aren't good for us and now they taste like crap

    the end

what's funny is the UK version is called Weeta-bix. Same photo on the box, same brand font and style, same cereal, just a different name.

Maybe 25% of the time we use organic milk. That's going to change. I think we might try and go 100%.
I find the idea of organic food a bit rediculous. They prevent many great advances in food production just so they can slap a organic label and have a nice hippe fan base to sell to. The idea that groundwater pollution and other form of pollutants getting into the enviroment all in the name of "organic" food is ridiculous, and personally I dislike the idea of having my food grown from uncleaned cow sh*t anyways.

Organic food producers don't "prevent" advances, they just choose to grow/raise food without unnatural chemicals or feed. It's a little more expensive, but some people are willing to pay that premium. Before you knock organics, maybe you ought to look a little closer into how food is mass-produced these days. There are some very unsavory practices being used, our British cousins here can definitely regale us with cautionary tales on BSE. Short term gain in cattle size for the long term problems of whole herds slaughtered, exports banned, and food safety image harmed for a very long time.

I'm not a hippie vegan tree-hugger, but I do eat some organic food. Organic beef tastes better anyway. Same with organic milk (for some reason, it keeps longer too, haven't figured this one out yet).

Not trying to knock the whole idea of growing "naturally". Just the methods and regulations regarding how you can grow it. They can't use clean human waste as fertilizer, so instead the farmers tend to use uncleaned cow waste which can cause toxic runoff and groundwater pollution. It's not so much that organic is bad and all that, its just that the rules regarding it can cause many significant problems.

i'm not a hippie either but i prefer to eat only organic food, except for the occasional slice of new york pizza. it costs a lot, but there isnt any real city in the fashion-photo world where organic food cant be had. the other day i sipped a coke (first time in 2 years) and nearly choked because it was so bad. only veggies and sushi for me.

That's awesome! It looks like he's about to get in a fight with somebody.

I eat 'honey nut cheerios' in the morning, probably should eat 'total rasin brand', but I hate how the rasins always sink to the bottom......

The sugary stuff, especially 'Count Chocula', is disgusting.....

Cinnamon Life, yummy and good for me. The only thing is I never eat it or any cereal in the mornings; I usually have it in the evening.

Thinking of cereal makes me think of the “Nuts N Bits” skit.

.... I hate cereal. most of the time I have 2 Eggs, 2 Pieces of Toast with Butter, a Glass of Milk (1%), Yogurt (I used to HATE Yogurt), and like an Orange or a Banana, this is assuming I don't wake up too late for school or work, in which case I bypass the whole breakfast routine for a Bagel and a hot 16 ounce Cup of Coffee at some nearby cafe.

Organic cereal with a load of blueberries and bananas - six days a week. Add a whole wheat bagel with organic peanut butter and jelly, and you've got breakfast. (At least your first breakfast.)

On the seventh day it's off to the greasy spoon for eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, potatos, toast, endless coffee, and the newspaper cover to cover.

Hate the new cereals. Even the kids don't really like them. We get them organic rice crispies (really, really good) or organic corn flakes (also really good).

Maybe 25% of the time we use organic milk. That's going to change. I think we might try and go 100%.

    Hey, isn't cereal Frontroomish material?
