depending on my mood, either salt and white pepper or black pepper. I also like a bit of olive oil on them as well. Very nice and succulent.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

It's all in the context. Think a late august day, the sun is shining, you have a thirst, it's 250 outside. A tomato in it's pure form is like a melon. Agreed 100%, tomatos are at their best with mayo. Unless you carry with you at potlucks mozarella, salt & pepper, basil, capers and olive oil.

The few times I eat tomatoes not mixed with anything, I prefer black pepper only on them.
