    Default Reinforcements

Do enemy reinforcements enter the battle if the enemy general has run away?I was playing the Bzyantines and the Turks invaded with an army about twice my size in men and more than twice my size in units. The Turkish General ran away and the turkish reinforcements did not enter the battle.

I think the reinforcements will continue to come until the "Enemy is fleeing the field" message appears. I'm pretty sure I've had enemy reinforcements come on after routing and/or killing the enemy general.

I think that's it. When your men "flee the field" reinforcements don't come either.

Occationally the comp considers the battle lost and withdraws his forces. The reinforcements still enters the battle but are immidiatly withdrawn.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

I've had the exact same thing happen. Reinforcements enter the map, and immediately turn around and leave again. Not when they enemy general has been killed though, then the reinforcements just seem to rout easier.
